The Petromax insert is the perfect addition to ensure even more variety and characteristic grill stripes when grilling the plancha on the Atago grill plate. It fits effortlessly into the grill plate or the cooking attachment and expands your Atago grill plate with additional functions. While it also ensures that you can place the food to be grilled securely in the middle of the griddle, as an insert in the cooking attachment it serves as a mini grill grate and a secure base for Dutch Ovens and Dutch Ovens. By using the Atago plancha grill plate, typical grill marks appear on steak, filet and vegetables, while fried potatoes or fried eggs are roasting on the plancha plate at the same time. So you can prepare a crispy side dish and grill steak at the same time, prepare a hearty barbecue sauce or a starter soup with hearty soup ingredients. In addition, the insert for the Atago griddle can serve as a safe place for the cooking utensils while you continue grilling on the plancha plate.

With grill and charcoal tongs, you can simply lift the insert from the cooking attachment or the Atago grill plate. Then you refill charcoal or wood through the recess in the middle of the plate or the cooking attachment.
